Decorative rock, gravel and boulders add an
interesting and natural element to any kind of
landscape. These products can be used to dress up your
planting beds, build walls, make a path, solve a
drainage issue or create a base for walls and patios. In
addition to providing decorative features for the yard,
rock can be a low maintenance alternative to wood mulch,
it will not decompose over time, helps to hold back the
soil and cut back on erosion, reduce water evaporation,
protect areas from mechanical damage by mowers, string
trimmers, etc. and beautify your planting beds.
Small size rock up to 1” should be applied at a 2”
depth and will cover about 100 square foot per cubic
yard.
Large size rock 1” to 2.5” should be applied at a 3”
depth and will cover about 70 square foot per cubic
yard.
We sell decorative rock, gravel and boulders by the
cubic yard in bulk or in 0.5 cu ft - 1 cu ft bags (50
lbs). If you purchase bags know that there is 27 cubic
feet in a cubic yard and the same coverage rates above
will apply.
